Adult Inpatient Treatment

our Winds offers comprehensive evaluation and specialized treatment for adult patients managing psychosocial stressors and life challenges including: depression, anxiety, psychosis, and co-occurring substance abuse disorders.

  • Treatment program based on the principles of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), a skills training program that:
    •     Targets behaviors to help build self-advocacy
    •     Emphasizes crisis planning
    •     Reinforces skills to manage life stressors
  • Medication evaluation, education, and management.
  • Evaluation of suicidal symptoms.
  • Specialized groups focused on addressing and managing substance use issues and related behaviors, including dependance on opiods and prescription and over-the-counter medications.
  • Discharge planning coordination with outside community service providers.  

 

Young Adult Inpatient Treatment

Treatment for young adults presenting with suicidal thoughts and behaviors, early episode psychosis, depression, anxiety, mood disorders, and co-occurring substance abuse disorders.

  • Treatment program based on the principles of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), a skills training program that:
    •     Targets behaviors to help build self-advocacy

    •     Reinforces skills to manage life stressors
  • Medication evaluation, education, and management.

Adult Inpatient Co-Occurring Treatment

Adult Co-occurring inpatient treatment focuses on psychiatric illness co-occurring with substance abuse or dependency.

  • Specialized groups addressing substance use issues and related behaviors, including dependance on opiods and prescription and over-the-counter medications.
  • Medication evaluation, education, and management.
  • Groups conducted by Certified Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselors.
  • Discharge planning coordination with outside community service providers.

Yoga And T'ai Chi

Yoga is offered three times a week and T’ai Chi twice each week as part of the adult inpatient services. These sessions complement the mindfulness practices in the Dialectical Behavior Therapy groups, which are held in both the Co-Occurring Disorder Program and the Core Psychiatric Program.
