Adult Inpatient Treatment

Four Winds offers comprehensive evaluation and specialized treatment for adult patients managing psychosocial stressors and life challenges including: depression, anxiety, psychosis.

  • Treatment program based on the principles of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), a skills training program that:
    •     Targets behaviors to help build self-advocacy
    •     Emphasizes crisis planning
    •     Reinforces skills to manage life stressors
  • Medication evaluation, education, and management.
  • Evaluation of suicidal symptoms.
  • Discharge planning coordination with outside community service providers.  

 

Young Adult Inpatient Treatment

Treatment for young adults presenting with suicidal thoughts and behaviors, early episode psychosis, depression, anxiety, mood disorders.

  • Treatment program based on the principles of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), a skills training program that:
    •     Targets behaviors to help build self-advocacy
    •     Emphasizes crisis planning
    •     Reinforces skills to manage life stressors
  • Medication evaluation, education, and management.

Yoga And T'ai Chi

Yoga is offered three times a week and T’ai Chi twice each week as part of the adult inpatient services. These sessions complement the mindfulness practices in the Dialectical Behavior Therapy groups, which are held in both the Co-Occurring Disorder Program and the Core Psychiatric Program.
