Psychiatrists

Full-time openings for  Board Certified/Eligible Psychiatrists. The Psychiatrists will perform Psychiatric Assessments and Medication Management as part of a Treatment Team which includes Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners, Therapists and Nursing Staff. Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Full-time opening for a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner for an Adolescent Inpatient Unit. The Nurse Practitioner will perform Psychiatric Assessments and Medication Management as part of a Treatment Team that includes Psychiatrists, Therapists and Nursing Staff. New York State License required.
 
 
 

Social Workers- FT

Social Workers- Licensed Social Workers (LCSW or LMSW) needed to work as primary therapists for children and adults.  Previous Inpatient Hospital and Managed Care experience required. DBT a plus!   FT, M-F, Benefits. Must have NYS License.
 
 

 

Discharge Planner

The Discharge Planner works with the Treatment Team to arrange for a discharge plan and to discuss available options. The Discharge Planner attends Treatment Planning meetings and Morning Rounds on the unit and also leads Transition Group with the patients. Other responsibilities include working collaboratively with outside referring clinicians and agencies to schedule appointments for follow up care. The Discharge Planner must be a Masters prepared Social Worker or possess a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field with at least three years prior experience in discharge planning.
 
 
 
 

Clinical Evaluator

Full Time Monday-Friday 10:00am-6:00pm. Evaluations/Admissions. Clinicians provide Evaluation and Assessment of incoming patients to the hospital and are supervised by the MD/NPP or Doctor- On -Call who writes the medical orders.   The Evaluations/Admissions Clinician serve as a liaison between the general public/referent populations, and the clinical/administrative staff of Four Winds Hospital, facilitating appropriate admission with respect to legal, clinical, and financial variables. NY LCSW or LMSW required. 
 
 
 
 

Nurse Manager

Nurse Manager for an Adolescent Unit.  The Nurse Manager is the nursing clinical and administrative leader for the unit and has 24-hour/day responsibility and accountability for provision and management of a safe and therpapeutic milieu and for the quality of patient care delivery within that milieu.
Full-time, M-F, Benefits. The Nurse Manager must be licensed to practice as a Professional Nurse in NY, demonstrate competence as a practitioner of nursing having no less than (5) years or experience , at least two (2) of which shall have been in the field of psychiatric nursing. A bachelor’s degree in Nursing is preferred. FT, M-F, Benefits.
 
 
 

Admissions Corrdinators- FT

Heavy client Contact requiring excellent interpersonal, verbal and computer skills. Hospital experience and two years of college required with courses in Psychology and English.
Bachelor’s degree preferred. 
 
 Tuesday and Wednesday 10:00 am to 6:00 pm; Thursday  and Friday 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm and Saturday 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm.
 

 

 

Mental Health Worker

The Mental Health Worker (MHW) is a member of a multidisciplinary team. The MHW carries out the assigned tasks and duties required to assist in the organization, coordination and management of a safe and therapeutic milieu.
12 hour shifts; days, nights and weekends.
Bachelor's degree is preferred; H.S. Diploma and 2 years of college or related experience is required.
 
 
 

Mental Health Worker- Nights

Registered Nurse

The Registered Nurses are part of a clinical team that uses a multidisciplinary approach to treatment. S/he must be NYS Licensed Registered Nurse who will promote professional practice and patient focused approach to care. Responsibilities include but are not limited to identification and documentation of patient's physical and mental health needs, maintenance of safe and therapeutic environment, provides milieu and crisis management and administration of medication.
12 hour shifts; Full Time, Part Time and Per Diem;
Days, nights and weekends.
NYS License and Registration required, psychiatric experience is preferred.
