When asked what distinguishes Four Winds Saratoga, my response is simple.  It is the compassion and skill of our staff who work day-to-day to improve the health and well-being of our patients. We strive to engage our patients and their families in every aspect of their treatment and recovery.

As you tour our services and programs, you will learn about our multi-disciplinary treatment teams, our provision of the most effective treatments available, our educational events, and our commitment to our patients, employees, volunteers, visitors and community.  We ensure that each and every person is treated with the utmost respect and dignity.

Coronavirus Update from Four Winds Saratoga

To Our Patients and Families,

This continues to be a challenging time as we are all faced with the Coronavirus health crisis.  We, like other healthcare providers, are taking the health and well being of our patients and staff members very seriously.  Common reactions to this type of crisis can include increased worry and anxiety, panic, feelings of helplessness, difficulty concentrating and sleeping, as well as hyper vigilance about your health and symptoms.

At Four Winds, we are continuing to provide treatment that includes therapy, 24 hour nursing care, psychiatric and medication interventions while abiding by the current guidelines provided by the CDC and NYS Department of Health in an attempt to contain and limit the spread of the virus.   We are screening individuals at admission and throughout their treatment in the hospital programs.  We will continue to take the recommended precautions around the Coronavirus and simultaneously remain focused on the behavioral health and emotional well being of those in our care.

We are proud to announce that our Outpatient Programs can now be accessed from your own home.  We have implemented a HIPAA-approved, virtual platform so people can participate in group and individual therapy online.  These services are being led by our own staff, including our psychiatrists, psychologists and therapists.

Our efforts to contain the spread of the Coronavirus includes the recommended screening related to travel, symptoms of respiratory infection, and contact one may have had with a person who had the coronavirus or is  under investigation for possible direct contact.  Monitoring and ongoing assessments will occur throughout a patient’s treatment stay in the hospital programs.  Part of the containment includes not allowing face-to-face visitation and encouraging family members to connect with their loved ones via telephone or audiovisual means.  Therapists may conduct telephone and/or audiovisual sessions more frequently as a precaution during this period of time.

We encourage you to remain aware of the changing guidelines that are released on a daily basis while also protecting yourself in a number of ways.  Specifically, it is important that you wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds or use hand sanitizer. If hand washing is not an immediate option, avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands, practice social distancing and avoid close contact with others (remain at least 6 ft. apart), stay home as much as realistically possible, cover your cough with a tissue that is immediately discarded and clean and disinfect frequently touched objects.

While it is important to remain aware of the changing landscape with the Coronavirus, it is also helpful to maintain perspective and limit your exposure to the 24 hour news cycle around this pandemic.  Also, be mindful of your assumptions about others as every cough or fever is not necessarily Coronavirus.  Stay healthy by taking precautions, but also stay connected with your social network in our electronic world.

We are here and continue to provide treatment to all ages.  I invite you to explore this website to learn more about the services that we offer, both onsite and online. If you have any questions or concerns that we may be able to address, feel free to contact us at 518-584-3600.

Sincerely,
The Adminstration and Staff at
Four Winds of Saratoga, Inc.
