Saratoga Campus
Four Winds provides inpatient mental health treatment services for children, adolescents, and adults. We are a specialized provider of inpatient psychiatric treatment for children, adolescents and adults in the Northeast. Each unit is staffed with a professional, multi-disciplinary treatment team. All Programs include a strong focus on family participation in treatment and discharge planning.

Child Treatment
- Specialized treatment for a broad range of emotional and behavioral difficulties serving ages 5-12 years old
- Psychopharmacological assessment and intervention targeting active mental health concerns including mood and anger problems, anxiety, and trauma related symptoms
- Individualized treatment plans integrating individual, group and family therapies with a full complement of educational, expressive and recreational therapies
- Skill building groups that encourage coping skills, anger management, emotional regulation and socialization
- Reinforcement of a positive self-image, promoting self-care skills, and responsibility and independence integrated into the daily routine
- Active family involvement in treatment planning, family therapy and discharge planning
Adolescent Treatment
- Two unique units serving younger and older adolescents, staffed by multidisciplinary teams including psychiatry, nursing, social work and mental health counselors.
- Comprehensive program addresses adolescent psychiatric problems including the following: Mood disorders, anxiety related issues, suicidal ideation, complex trauma, substance abuse, challenging family dynamics
- Psychopharmacological assessment and intervention targeting active mental health symptoms
- Individual and family therapy facilitated by trained, masters level clinicians combined with thorough and thoughtful discharge planning
- Individualized treatment plans integrate individual, group and family therapies with a full complement of educational services and expressive and recreational therapies
- Skill-building groups that use a DBT model. Emphasis on learning healthy coping strategies, increasing self-worth, distress tolerance skills, problem solving, conflict resolution, and emotional regulation
Adult Treatment
- Comprehensive diagnostic evaluation and treatment provided in a compassionate environment that acknowledges the unique circumstances of each individual
- Our program addresses a number of presenting mental health problems including the following: Mood disorders, suicidal ideation, anxiety related issues, trauma related symptoms, substance abuse, challenging relational problems
- Psychopharmacological assessment and intervention targeting active mental health symptoms
- Skill-building groups that use an evidenced based DBT model. Emphasis on learning healthy coping strategies, increasing self-worth, distress tolerance skills, problem solving, conflict resolution, and emotional regulation skills
- Therapeutic milieu with a supportive and experienced staff that provides a safe environment where new skills are practiced
- Individualized treatment plans that integrate individual, group and family therapies with a full complement of expressive and recreational therapies, educational services (if appropriate), as well as pastoral care
- Comprehensive discharge planning is a critical component of treatment at Four Winds
