Art therapy group: Patients use art to express their feelings and experiences, explore alternate ways of self-expression, improve their ability to tolerate frustration, and improve fine motor skills run by a Creative Art Therapist.

Community meeting: Patients discuss any unit or community issues with a clinician or mental health worker.

Curfew/room time: A designated time for patients to start winding down in their rooms where conversation is minimized to allow patients the ability to transition into curfew and bedtime.

DBT skills activity group: Interactive activities to practice learned DBT and coping skills run by a mental health worker.

DBT skills group: Topics such as: Mindfulness, Emotion Regulation, Distress Tolerance, and Social Skills are taught by a therapist.

Evening routine: Phone call, shower time, and patients select earned rewards based on positive behaviors displayed during the day.

Family therapy sessions: occur at various times throughout the week led by a therapist.

Goals group: Patients set daily goals to help focus on behavior change and practice learned coping skills led by a mental health worker.

Health education group: Patients discuss topics related to living a healthy life, both physically and emotionally run by nursing staff.

Nutrition group: Patients learn about healthy eating patterns and the effect poor eating can have on mood and behavior led by a Registered Dietician.

Individual therapy sessions: occur at various times throughout the week led by a therapist.

Leisure time: Patients use free time to engage in and practice leisure activities of their choosing that promote relaxation.

Medication check-in: occur at various times throughout the week in a one-to-one setting with a medication prescriber (psychiatrist or psychiatric nurse practitioner).

Medication group: led by a psychiatrist or psychiatric nurse practitioner to review medications and answer any medication questions.

Quiet time: Designated time on the unit where activity and conversation is minimized to allow patients the ability to transition to the next program.

Recreation therapy: This group focuses on engaging in healthy physical activity, movement, and positive social cooperation with games and activities facilitated by a recreational therapist.

School: Patients either go to the Learning Center for academic instruction or receive educational tutoring on the unit during school months.

Therapeutic activity: Patients are exposed to many enriching opportunities to experience positive social interactions learn social skills, and increase self-esteem through varied activities on the unit and the campus led by a mental health worker.

Wrap-up group: Patients review their daily goals and discuss skills used or obstacles in meeting their goals led by a mental health worker.
