Mental Health Worker

Four Winds Hospital is seeking Mental Health Workers!!

The Mental Health Worker (MHW) is a member of an interdisciplinary team.  S/he carries out the assigned tasks and duties required to provide holistic care to the patients, organizes and coordinates patient activities and contributes to the maintenance of the therapeutic milieu.    

The MHW will be provided with:

  • thorough training of campus-wide, and unit-specific, policies and procedures;
  • cross-training for adult, adolescent and child populations providing the ability to work well with each population and be adaptable/flexible with daily assignments.
  • two day training provided in crisis intervention in order to participate in acute situations throughout the campus.

Applicants must be capable of running, twisting, arching and lifting. MHWs may be required to transport patients off grounds using hospital vehicles.

Qualifications:
Applicants must be a high school graduate.  Further education in psychology or other health related field is preferred.  One year of related experience preferred but on-the-job training will be provided.
